**Description** Under the supervision of the Manager of Respiratory Care Services, the Sleep Technologist is responsible for helping maintain or restore maximum functioning of the patient's cardiopulmonary system in accordance with physician orders and/or departmental protocols. Required to exercise initiative in developing ideas or in responding to or adjusting problem situations. Typically reports to the supervisor who evaluates ideas. Work processes and assignments for patients of all ages frequently require the incumbent to interpret and apply operating procedures, technical standards, and/or protocols to problems of varying degrees of complexity. Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them. **Required Qualifications:** + Sufficient for license/registration. + Upon hire: National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists or National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists or National Sleep Disorders Specialty - National Board for Respiratory Care + Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association + 1 year Sufficient experience to enable the employee to work effectively in commonplace work situations and to provide a working knowledge of the principles, practices, standards, methods, and techniques of the Respiratory Care field/Sleep Study field; usually interpreted as less than three years but more than one year of applicable experience. **Preferred qualifications:** + Recent critical care experience (within the last 12 months), new graduate status acceptable. + Recent experience in the field of Sleep Study technology. **Why Join Providence?** Our best-in-class benefits are uniquely designed to support you and your family in staying well, growing professionally, and achieving financial security.
