Policy Manager, Nordics (12 months contract)
**Summary:** Meta is now looking for a Policy Manager to be part of our team for the Nordic countries in a temporary position (12 months) based in either Copenhagen or Stockholm. Working as part of the Nordic policy team, you will be a key contributor in developing and driving a thoughtful discussion on tech policies across the Nordic countries. **Required Skills:** Policy Manager, Nordics (12 months contract) Responsibilities: 1. In this new role you will manage key policy initiatives and campaigns across the region as well as general support to the other members of the Public Policy team. Responsibilities will therefore include monitoring and research of current emerging Nordic public policy issues, building new events/initiatives focused on all Nordic countries, support engagement with policymakers, trade associations, industry partners, key opinion formers, non-profit groups and others to contribute to the development of policy frameworks that will help guide private, safe and responsible innovation. You will need to work cross-functionally with Product, Legal, Communications, Corporate and Partnership teams, as well as global policy teams. 2. Among your responsibilities will be: · Set up and manage policy initiatives across the region in cooperation with the rest of the policy team and colleagues from other teams. 3. · Be part of the strategy work for building relationships with policy makers, civil society and academics. 4. · Help build, manage & maintain meaningful relationships with key organisations in the Nordics. 5. · Collaborate and ensure consistency in approach to Facebook's policy initiatives across the Nordic countries. 6. · Build creative partnerships that we do not already have. **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 7. Experience in working with policymakers/stakeholders/civil servants, and an overall interest in tech policy. You should have a clear understanding of the policy challenges Meta is facing, and ambitious and relevant ideas about how to solve these. 8. Project management experience required 9. Keen interest in politics and effective communication skills with stakeholders. You will need to feel comfortable in managing multiple fast-moving projects simultaneously. 10. An educational background that touches upon societal questions such as Political Science, Humanities, or related fields. 11. Keen interest in and knowledge of global policy issues, technology, politics and government. 12. Experience in working with political systems and institutions. 13. Experience with analytical and relevant approach to policy issues, as well as an experience to work cross functionally. 14. Experience in driving and managing multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously and smoothly. 15. Passion for tech, Meta and its mission to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. 16. Experience in working autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. 17. You think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively while owning the project from ideation to execution. 18. Written and oral communications skills. 19. Willingness to travel. 20. Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language required (additional languages are a plus) **Industry:** Internet
