Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will detect and investigate unusual situations/conditions and take required action to resolve various issues and request additional support, if necessary. You will perform a full range of force protection, anti-terrorism and sentry duties at installations or activities. You will respond to and investigate complaints while interpreting and enforcing state and federal laws, the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), DoD and Navy regulations, and installation directives, rules and regulations. You will use computer equipment and specialized web-based law enforcement programs to fuse intelligence and establish, update, query or print individual or vehicle registration and other law enforcement sensitive information. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ability to make quick decisions and take decisive action based on often incomplete information, varying threats, and hazards; 2) Use of investigative procedures, techniques, and methods to detect, investigate, and resolve crimes and other incidents; 3) Skill with documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations; 4) Performing advanced aspects of law enforcement, antiterrorism, and physical security functions at military installations requiring use and deployment of techniques, equipment, knowledge, or training. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. This position requires rotating shift work. If selected below the full performance level, you may be noncompetitively promoted to the next higher grade level after meeting all regulatory requirements, and upon the recommendation of management. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
