PODIATRIST An established outpatient clinic in Rockland County, NY is seeking an experienced Podiatrist to provide preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of problems affecting the feet, ankle, and lower legs. Responsibilities: + Diagnoses, treats, or prescribes treatment of the foot, ankle, and other related. structures using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results. + Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery and sets fractures. + Administers medications and local anesthetics. + Orders additional medical tests (like X-rays, ultrasounds etc.) to form a better diagnosis if necessary. + Refers patients to other physicians or specialists for consultation in an inter-professional manner. + Advises patients about treatments and foot care techniques to prevent future problems. + Completes clinical notes within a timely fashion for each patient visit. + Displays a positive, professional, and respectful demeanor at all times toward fellow staff members, peers, professional contacts, and patients served. Requirements: + Must be fully licensed to practice in the state of NY + Board certified or eligible + DPM Degree + DEA certificate + 2 + years of experience as a Podiatrist + Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment + Ability to communicate clearly and concisely + Excellent bedside manner, empathy, and patience  + Up-to-date knowledge of latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry Offer: + Excellent hourly rate + Occurrence Malpractice coverage + Loan forgiveness program + Flexible schedule with consideration of your private practice + Opportunity to learn and expand expertise We will provide a medical assistant, equipment, supplies and perform all administrative functions (including coding and billing).
