About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Responsibilities This is a developmental position. If the selection should be at the lower grade level the incumbent will perform duties under closer than normal supervision. Assignments become progressively more difficult until the full performance level is reached. Apply a working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical and mechanical principles to disassemble, repair, reassemble, and test fuel control subassemblies. Conduct visual inspection for obvious defects such as scratches, corrosion or bent or broken parts of subassemblies. Replace or rework damaged parts. Assist journeyman mechanics on complex hydromechanical/pneumatic fuel control systems in the T-53/T-55/T-63, and/or T-700 Overhaul Fuel Control Shops. Working Conditions; Works inside in a well lighted, controlled environment. Frequently exposed to fuel, lubricants and corrosion treatment compounds, and to the possibility of cut, burns, abrasions, strains and injury from the use of tools and equipment. Required to wear safety equipment as conditions warrant. Working conditions have been considered in the evaluation of the position. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a(n) Logistics Career Field position.
