Responsible for operational excellence and execution.  Owns the assessment process for evaluating employee skills, capabilities, and capacity to meet client requirements in a cost-effective manner. This role involves leading, planning, and reporting on key initiatives that support Bureau Veritas' strategic and operational objectives. This role exercises a high degree of independent judgment and decision-making authority to ensure operational excellence and successful execution of critical business functions.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.

Analyze current processes to identify opportunities for improvement. Then coordinate these initiatives, ensuring that they are completed on time and within quality standards. Create consistency with templates.  Develop project management reporting and project tracking tools in collaboration with leadership team. Coordinate and monitor all tasks of the Sales/Operations proposal development process to ensure accountabilities for all parties, on time delivery to clients, quality standards of final documents and a smooth transition from Sales to Operations. Facilitate weekly meetings between Sales and Operations to provide updates, changes, and any impact to Sales opportunities. Record and document all meeting minutes and distribute within 48 hours of the meeting. Develop a client survey with feedback (both challenges and progress). Create a high level reporting tool to update on overall project health (schedule, budget, risk, etc.) by client on a quarterly basis. Create a historical cost database for project management by project type (scope). Develop an automated process for comprehensive reporting using BV systems. Prepare communications of project status, issues, and successes for stakeholders on a monthly cadence. Assist with elevating the level of quality in documentation formatting and content across the organization.  This includes but not limited to creating an organizational document control system for all teams to store and view proposals, MSA’s and amendments; and developing a document system for project management organization to reference tools for consistent project delivery. Assist with scheduling meetings, team events, and tracking tasks assigned to various team members. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, regulations, software, and tools. Occasional nationwide travel required, up to 20% annually. Provides strategic leadership and oversight to the team, including training, cross-resourcing, and optimizing business operations. Demonstrates exceptional communication skills, clearly and concisely engaging with all stakeholders. Manages and develops the department's staff, leveraging coaching and mentorship to drive performance. Analyzes operational data to identify and implement efficiency-enhancing technological solutions. Designs, implements, and executes high-level organizational and operational initiatives. Maintains transparent and proactive communication with management and staff on critical operational matters. Protects operations by keeping company information confidential. Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients’ needs. Demonstrates BV’s guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals. Follows all documented policies, standard operating procedures, and work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives. Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Indirectly supervises employees. Carries out indirect supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in related field; minimum of four years of related experience. In lieu of degree, six years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required.
 

Language Ability: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, peers, and technical field staff.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


Technology Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in operating a computer, having knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, and project management software.
