POSITION AVAILABLE: Plumbing Tester \n

LOCATION: Athens, TX\n

REPORTS TO: Quality Manager\n

Summary: Under General supervision, work on the production line, as part of a team, to test and ensure proper completion of the plumbing components of manufactured housing, and perform quality work at a fast moving and consistent manner.\n

Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):\n\nConducts visual and air pressure tests on water lines\nInstalls exterior water faucets\nConducts visual inspections of drain lines\nConducts flood and fixture tests\nResponsible for 'closing up' all access locations in the bottom board and reconnection of water heater after testing is complete\nResponsible for completing a testing checklist for each floor\nResponsible for cleaning up after the job is complete\nResponsible for ensuring all data accumulated on a daily basis is turned into the QA office\nAdditional job duties as required and assigned\nEnsures all quality control policies, procedures, directives and systems within compliance of company and\/or applicable federal regulations, continually strives to increase the level of quality assurance within the facility.\nEnsures all safety policies and procedures are followed in accordance with guidelines established by the Company in accordance with OSHA regulations.\n\n

Qualifications:\n\nBasic understanding of plumbing functions\nAbility to physically work under houses and use a creeper\nAbility to climb ladders and work on top of homes\nMust be able to read a tape measure\nKnowledge and ability to use computer\/laptop, copy machines and printers comfortably is a plus\nMust be able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, follow best practices and company policies\nMust be able to multitask and consistently follow best practices when making inspections\nMust be able to resolve issues calmly and with professional conduct\nUnderstanding of all quality measures\nUnderstanding of the construction process of factory-built housing\nSense of urgency in resolving issues and improving processes is required\nMust be results driven and be able to focus on customer expectations\nMust have good verbal and written communication skills; Must be able to read and write legibly\nMust be teamwork oriented and have a positive work attitude\nMust be able to climb, bend and stoop\n\n

Education and\/or Experience: \n\nHigh School degree and or some college, or one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred\n\n
