Job Title: Plumbing Project Manager

Job Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and budgeting activities and financial reports concerned with the construction or maintenance of projects. The Project Manager participates in the conceptual development of a project and oversees its organization, scheduling and implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with Superintendents, Foremen and Journeymen to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Confer with supervisors and union personnel to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site union personnel to ensure project is completed on schedule and within Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and Works with engineers to produce shop drawings from architectural Communicates with customer/contractor during the Manages projects to ensure the budgets established are met and ensures products are manufactured to customer specifications. Collaborate with the Superintendent as well as other departments in the acquisition of tooling, materials, equipment, etc. to complete the Collaborate with the Superintendent and Safety personnel to develop project-specific safety Communicate the company's core value of safety and project-specific safety requirements, goals, and objectives. Develop project schedules in collaboration with the Superintendent and in compliance with customer requirements, deadlines, and/or milestones; develop mechanisms to track schedule progress in the field; and updates the schedule Collaborate with the Superintendent to identify any variances from the baseline and determine. appropriate course of action to remedy any schedule Communicate schedule updates and any schedule slippage remedies to the customer and gains approval including any compensation Provide forecasts to the customer and participate in forecast/budget meetings as Develop project budget based on the estimate/proposal including the budget breakdown by task and appropriate tracking units and develop cost codes for tasks/units. Run reports on projects, tracking cost and Prepare and distribute completed RFPs for Review subcontractor proposals for completeness and scope Furnish information to the Contract Administrator to complete subcontract agreements including scope of work, pricing, and customer-specific Collaborate with the Superintendent to review and approve subcontractor Maintains open communication with the customer and discusses potential future Negotiate and approve subcontract scope changes in accordance with all customer contract requirements (i.e. the prime contract conditions which flow though the subcontract). Break down units and complete take-offs. Manage divisional Work In Progress (WIP) statistics and report on WIP statistics at monthly financial meetings. Perform accurate Informs office staff when necessary to order bonds, permits or certifications when needed for a Develop and distribute subcontractor RFPs based on scope of work and develop bid Develop RFP deliverables for a complete bid package including safety plans, execution plans, quality plans, environmental plans, and other plans as required by the Participate in department meetings as Perform additional assignments as requested and maintain a teamwork

Qualifications:

Ability to read and understand construction drawings and P&IDs. Minimum 5 years of experience in a Project Manager role. Must have knowledge of the appropriate codes and standards which govern design and operating requirements. Proven ability to successfully manage assigned projects that meet or exceed project schedule and cost estimate. High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
