Plumber III
Overview Medxcel is here to lead the transformation of healthcare facilities management by incorporating a new approach to providing services. The Plumber III is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste water disposal in the facility. The Plumber III works in cooperation with other trades and laborers to ensure that all specifications, legislation and policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion of any project. Providing adequate services will ensure that all water supply networks, waste systems and drainage systems are installed, repaired and maintained to meet all standards of building codes and safety. The Plumber III leads training for new associates and serves as a Subject Matter Expert to facilities stakeholders. The Plumber III also leads larger scale projects as assigned. This position is located at Columbia St. Mary's- Milwaukee, WI. Responsibilities Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems and components – 60% Diagnoses cause of problems and/or failures in water systems to identify equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs Installs, maintains and repairs domestic water pumps, water piping lines, water filters and plumbing fixtures. Repairs and maintains steam stations, valves, heating and condensation return stations and sewer and storm drains Tests fire system valves, tamper switches, fire pumps and dry deluge fire systems Maintains the piping and supply of cylinder and bulk medical gas systems Prepares the preventative maintenance schedule and produces monthly reports Develops procedures and conducts preventative maintenance and service inspections of backflow devices and cross-connection control awareness Responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns Identifies and recommends long-term needs and strategies for plumbing systems and components, resulting in cost savings Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders to provide information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations Maintains vehicle, tools and equipment to ensure availability in safe operating condition May serve as a dedicated service tech, providing electrical services to facilities/buildings within a defined region, requiring travel to multiple sites to perform service and billings functions May travel to multiple sites to perform functions of the role May coordinate, maintain and repair all energy management systems Special Projects – 40% Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned to convey and/or gather information required to perform job functions Leads training and department orientation for new associates Leads special projects as assigned Serves as Subject Matter Expert for facilities stakeholders, including Plumbers I and II Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements: Relevant License required Must have one or more of the following: Graduate of trade school and 3 years’ experience 5 years’ relevant experience Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience #MFMBM
