Platforms Business Operations Manager
Your role in a nutshell:
Vodafone Business Digital Sales is a cutting-edge function within Business _VOIS that provides inside sales services to our global stakeholders. We adopt a multi-channel approach, using marketing insights and innovative technology to build effective customer relationships and drive revenue.
The Digital Sales function has two main hubs in Valencia and Dublin. It is a fast-growing vertical with a highly energetic, fast-paced feel. Responsible for sales across Vodafone's local markets and internal lines of business, Digital Sales is set to expand threefold in the next three years and has a global headcount of approximately 400 FTE today.
The Platforms Business Operations Manager will be responsible for driving the technology strategy, ensuring operational efficiency, and delivering projects and programmes. The role holder is also accountable for securing and managing the annual Digital Sales budget.
This role will liaise with multiple stakeholders both within Vodafone and externally, including vendors and partners. You will also have a close working relationship with finance, the support functions and the Digital Sales Leadership team.
What you'll do:
Define and execute the technology strategy to drive digitisation of our tools and processesLead a geographically diverse team, driving high-quality outcomes and supporting revenue growthManage the Digital Sales budgeting process including the interlock with financeBe a Digital Sales advocate across Vodafone and support the expansion of Digital Sales across the wider OpCo footprintManage supplier relationships and performance including leading any contract negotiationsLead the Programme Management Office responsible for delivering strategic programmes for the Digital Sales leadership team
What you will bring to our team:
Experience in telecommunications/technology and preferably inside sales/Digital SalesStrategic thinker – the ability to spot technology trends and deployStrong leadership experience in a matrix environmentDriven to deliver results with a proven track recordStrong decision-making skills – able to identify key business issues and balance conflicting interestsExperience in defining and delivering the technology strategy for inside salesStrong supplier management skillsData-led with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
