Plastic Press Operator

Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is looking for Plastic Press Operators for a manufacturing company based in Meadville Pa.

We are looking for career minded individuals that are willing to learn. Must have good attitude and attendance. Work 3 or 4, 12 hour shifts a week. know your schedule a year in advance

Position: Plastics Press Operator

Shift: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am 36 & 48 Hour Weeks.
Weekends are included in rotation

Pay:Starts at $12.00 with possible increases based on performance, attendance, willingness to learn and attitude

Position Summary: Monitor plastics injection molding presses in our team manufacturing and assembly environment in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to inspection, packaging and handling of plastic parts and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Training and Work experience preferred: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Ability to follow instructions and maintain a safe work environment

• Basic computer skills

• Must demonstrate basic math and reading skills

Essential job functions:

• Must be able to monitor 5 – 7 presses, as assigned by supervisor.

• Perform all work duties in a safe manner following all safety rules including wearing safety glasses while on the plastics floor.

• Attend meetings as directed by managers/ supervisors.

• Perform visual inspection on scheduled presses as per the QWI’s at the press and in ISO Documents.

• Perform checks on all auxiliary equipment effectively and as directed.

• Label, package, handle, and weigh plastic products according to the mold specific Quality Work Instructions (QWI’s)

• Learn and use computer software and programs as required for the position including, but not limited to, Shotscope, Email, Time and Attendance, WORD, Excel and be able to look up information in the proper electronic company files.

• Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked work area.

Essential Physical demands:

• Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor frequently and occasionally sit

• Hand dexterity – repetitive motion of the hands to assemble and inspection of parts
