Plant Support Electrical Engineer
Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly-qualified Controls Engineer to oversee the development of automated control systems. The ideal candidate will hold at least a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and possess experience with electrical systems. You will utilize PLC programming products, such as those made by Siemens, to create these control systems.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Process Engineers to develop process ladder logic, OITs, and configure PLCs to meet project specifications.Design power distribution panels and variable frequency drive packages.Specify process instrumentation, control system hardware, and power-regulated components.Work with Electrical CAD Designers to develop control panel and wiring diagrams.Coordinate with the in-house panel shop to ensure all panels are built according to drawings and UL specifications.Ensure effective communication across teams.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in PLC programming and automation.Experience in electrical systems and AutoCAD Electrical for drafting schematics.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in an industrial setting, such as landfill gas extraction, compression, combustion, furnaces, or leachate remediation equipment.Knowledge of combustion, boilers, furnaces, and refinery settings is a plus.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
