Position Summary:
The Plant Manager provides leadership and supervision to production, manufacturing engineering, supply chain planning, and matrix leadership role for other operations team working for the same value stream to create a world class operations team. This position is focuses on overseeing the end-to-end value stream to optimize production processes, ensuring that the flow of materials and information from suppliers to customers is efficient and effective.
The Plant Manager significantly impacts organizational efficiency and customer satisfaction. By optimizing the flow of value through the company, reduce costs, improve quality, and accelerate delivery times.
Key Responsibilities
Visual Daily Management is responsible to sustain a clear and transparent communication through all levels establishing KPIs to monitor and measure the performance of the value stream.
Ensure RBS (Regal Rexnord Business System) as a primary and foundational system to define, strategy and tactical vision of the operations; Implementing continuous improvement methodologies to drive ongoing improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
Monitoring and enforcing compliance with safety and environmental regulations within the value stream operations.
Lead value stream mapping exercises to identify waste, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies.
Oversees the entire value stream process, from raw material procurement to the delivery of the final product.
Ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Coordination with cross-functional teams (including production, quality assurance, and supply chain) ensures smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
Direct and coordinate the execution of manufacturing operations and schedules based on sales requirements and value stream capacity.
Ensure the manufacturing planning and control activities are properly followed to prioritize the use of available resources to best satisfy customer demand.
Support, lead, and participate with Quality, R&D and Engineering on new product introductions.
Assess talent, recruit, and hire new team members that both enhance the team overall match the needs of Sales and clients.
Designing and implementing training programs for staff enhances their skills and knowledge in lean manufacturing and related areas.
Facilitating communication and collaboration among team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Interface with the Engineering group on new product development and commercialization
Work closely with internal customers to manage delivery expectations managing external supplier relationships.
Develops strategies for change management, including training and support, to ensure smooth adoption of new processes or tools.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Metal shop experience
Paint line process experience.
TPM and MES strong knowledge
Experience in Lean-six sigma methodologies.
Knowledge of supply chain management principles
7 years of experience in value stream management
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field
Master’s degree as a plus
5+ years of experience in value stream management
Proficient in data analysis and reporting
Aptitude for identifying problems quickly and devising effective solutions to address issues within the value stream.
Language: English 90%
