The Plant Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Salem operation to include production, warehouse, and maintenance. This position will manage the facility in a manner that maximizes both productivity and profitability while ensuring that quality standards are met, and a safe work environment is maintained. This position is responsible for ensuring the processing of raw material into finished products is in accordance with internal specifications. Reporting to the Plant Manager is the Production Manager, Warehouse Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. The Salem Team is focused on delivering solutions that can help produce first time quality fruit ingredients in a safe and efficient manner. Your role will be:

Oversee the procession of product through the entire process in accordance with internal specifications while maintaining throughput, yields and proper staffing.Directing and coordinating production, maintenance, and distribution activities to meet customer needs.Ensuring all safety, quality and regulatory procedures and policies are implemented, and employees are professionally trained to ensure product safety and quality standards are met.Ensure all production is meeting good manufacturing Practices (GMPs) as defined by Kerr’s procedures and maintaining these as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Facilitate regular communication with Procurement Team of raw materials to support the procurement program.Actively listen to staff input concerning daily operations to ensure employees are aware of situations that may affect their work. Facilitate communication by frequently communicating with employees to keep them informed.Lead performance management activities across the site. Ensure that learning and development needs of all employees are continually identified, and appropriate development programs are provided. Analyze Salem’s current financial and operational strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and constraints in order to develop, prepare, and implement goals, projects, and policies that will enable the operation to achieve a competitive advantage in the market.Continuously identify opportunities to increase output, reduce cost, and improve efficiencies through the adaption of LSS principles.Promote and develop a positive work environment consistent with Company values.

Your profile needs these qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience and/or training.Experience in a food manufacturing environment, aseptic food processing preferred.Strong leadership and process improvement experience. Root Cause Analysis ability and drive for success mentality required.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize task/project efficiently and quickly.Strong organizational and project management skills supported by strong problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Draft routine reports and correspondence.Demonstrated strong people management skills with proven ability to lead and motivate an organization.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Speak, read, write, and comprehend Spanish is a plus.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Experience solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Strong working knowledge of OSHA requirements for health and safety. Demonstrated commitment to the promotion of a safe, empowered, work environment, and good manufacturing practices.Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships both with, and between team members. The ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and in a variety of cultures -both internal and external.

Pay Range:

$115,300.00-$153,766.67 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
