A Day in the Life:
Plant Electrician is responsible for the electrical maintenance of the Destrehan, LA soybean processing facility. Candidate must actively participate in Bunge’s employee safety policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees. Additionally, this role is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site’s food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
Position Details:
Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm. One on-call week per rotation.
$30.09 an hour

What You’ll Be Doing:
Plant wide electrical troubleshooting and repair (electrical circuits of 480VAC or less, variable frequency drive (VFD) and AC/DC systems) Perform general electrician tasks including but not limited to running conduit and sizing and pulling wires Follow, interpret, and read blueprints and schematics Inspect for conformity to industry standards or specifications Troubleshoot and repair electrical components of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic industrial equipment Maintain electrical switchgear Lay out and install conduit Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
PLC experience preferred HVAC experience preferred Working knowledge of thermography Good written/verbal communication skills Ability to work in a team environment Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment Ability to work in a safety conscious environment Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnelHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferred Associate degree and/or technical certification preferred 3 years of industrial electrical experience preferred
