Job DescriptionThis Plant Controller plays a vital role in plant leadership, providing financial direction and insight to drive successful operations and profitability. Key responsibilities include managing plant accounting, performing month-end and year-end duties, conducting variance analysis, supporting business decisions, and ensuring cost control. The role also involves partnering with various leadership teams, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and utilizing financial data to optimize margins and operational performance. Responsibilities:Financial Leadership: Providing accurate financial information, conducting variance analysis, and supporting business decisions to enhance plant profitability.Accounting Operations: Overseeing plant accounting, including month-end close, year-end duties, audit support, and cost accounting tasks like product costing and labor standards.Collaboration and Support: Partnering with plant leadership to support operations, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure analysis.Personnel Development and Process Improvement: Developing the plant accounting team, enforcing financial policies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize margins and operational efficiencies. Qualifications and Requirements:Education: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. Qualifications NeededExperience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production industries.
