Summary The Plant Construction Coordinator provides support to Facilities Plant Construction Managers and infrequently to Facilities Administrator Consultants by facilitating various tasks and logistical activities necessary to perform work at Palo Verde Generating Station. Provides service providers with guidance and oversight to ensure station standards and expectations are adhered to. Service providers include companies providing the following services: general contracting, roofing, asphalt, concrete, framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, railroad. Oversees simple projects not requiring the oversight of a Construction Manager and/or Facilities Administrator Consultant. Minimum Requirements High school diploma/GED. Minimum of four (4) years experience within the construction industry trades such as roofing, asphalt, concrete, framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, etc. Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications: Working knowledge of construction practices/standards/specifications as well as knowledge of MLIS (Materials Logistics Information System), MAXIMO, Power Plant or other work management related software and MS Office products. Ability to interface and communicate effectively with people. Familiarity of the materials and equipment utilized in the assigned functional area. Nuclear requirement: Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member. Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage. This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities. These are conditions of employment at PVNGS. Major Accountabilities 1) Interfaces with Water Resources Operations, Maintenance and Projects on Facility related needs and requests. This includes communications and repairs provided by the Site Facility group, Outside vendors and on site maintenance. These interfaces can extend to Water Resources off-site facilities to include pipeline, Hassayampa Pumping Station Town of Buckeye and 91st Ave production facility. 2) Attends and performs daily plant status/pre-job briefs with Site Facility services and service providers to ensure situational awareness and Water Resources site impacts. Provides in the field oversight of supplemental personnel to ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained throughout the entire scope of work and to ensure station safety requirements are met. Ensures each workers training and qualifications are current. 3) Reviews work packages (SWMS, MAXIMO, WDP) for Water Resources impacts and constructability for Facility related tasks. This includes coordination of Water Resources Clearance and Tagging and Lockout Tagout program. 4) Identifies and secures appropriate plant permits (e.g., hot work permit, confined workspace, tornado borne missile) for work to be completed to ensure compliance with regulatory commitments and site safety requirements. Uses SWMS (Site Work Management System) to obtain permit and ensures it is hung for the duration of work. 5) Facilitates process to create Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), dropped item prevention plan, etc. as necessary. Works with service provider and internal stakeholders to identify hazards that may exist and establish mitigation plans. 6) Communicates delays, changes, and concerns to WR Scheduling and Site Facility team. 7) Coordinates and ensures job site signage, barricading, etc. meet station standards and are maintained through project completion. 8) Uses work management tool to create, update and close maintenance work orders (includes preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergent maintenance). 9) Uses MLIS/MAXIMO to create purchase orders. Procures all parts and material associated with the maintenance work orders which could include communicating and working with offsite vendors when necessary. 10) Coordinates material and equipment deliveries. Coordinates Security-related logistics such as visitor logs, escort responsibilities, Licensee Designated Vehicle/Special Purpose Vehicle (LDV/SPV), etc. Export Compliance / EEO Statement This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120) (collectively, 'U.S. Export Control Laws'). Plant/Field Role: This position requires work to be performed in the field and/or at the work site, due to the nature of work. Any PVGS employees may be called upon for random Fitness for Duty (FFD) testing during scheduled working hours. Employees, if off-site, must report to FFD at Palo Verde as soon as reasonably practicable, but no more than 120 minutes after being notified. Employees who are onsite when notified will have no more than 60 minutes to report after being notified.
