Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Planning/Cost Engineer to join our team in Al Ain. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project planning, cost estimation, and control for large-scale construction and engineering projects.

Develop and maintain project schedules using advanced project management softwarePrepare detailed cost estimates for projects at various stages of developmentMonitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performanceAnalyze project costs and variances, providing regular reports to managementIdentify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies as neededCollaborate with project teams to optimize resource allocation and improve efficiencyPerform earned value analysis and forecast project performanceAssist in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projectsConduct regular site visits to ensure alignment between plans and actual progressDevelop and maintain cost databases and historical records for future reference

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in planning and cost engineering, preferably in construction, engineering, or infrastructure projectsProficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft ProjectAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with cost estimation softwareWorking knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD softwareExperience with risk analysis tools and techniquesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detailExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesEffective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentProfessional certifications such as PMP or CCP are preferredIn-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project lifecycle managementExpertise in cost control, budgeting, schedule development, and risk assessmentWillingness to travel to project sites as requiredFamiliarity with local construction practices and regulations in the UAE is a plus
