Planning and Controls Manager – Project Management Office (PMO)
Location: Bellevue, WA (Onsite)
Contract Duration: 12 Months

System One is seeking a highly skilled Planning and Controls Manager to join the Project Management Office (PMO). This role requires subject matter expertise in project planning and execution to support multiple advanced nuclear projects.

Position Overview:

As an integral part of the corporate PMO, the Planning and Controls Manager will ensure effective project planning, governance, and performance oversight. This position is critical in maintaining control processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring overall project success.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and oversee integrated project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Lead change control processes by assessing, documenting, and communicating the impacts of change requests. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success. Provide advanced data analysis and insights to support executive decision-making. Collaborate with business intelligence analysts to develop visualization tools and dashboards. Integrate project planning, cost management, and risk analysis into comprehensive project control frameworks. Mentor and train planning and control engineers and data analysts to enhance team capabilities. Qualifications & Skills: 10+ years of experience in project planning, controls, and data analysis. Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Power BI. Experience managing large-scale, first-of-a-kind (FOAK) projects exceeding $100M, spanning multiple years, and involving multi-disciplinary teams of 100+. Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and best practices. 5+ years of experience leading teams in cost management, project controls, or data analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with stakeholders. Preferred: Experience with advanced nuclear projects. High integrity, transparency, and a commitment to fostering teamwork and respect. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
