The Role
Placement Executive in our office will have the following responsibilities:
• Identify appropriate markets independently.
• Ensure that request for proposals is sent to and negotiated with market.
• Place Policies accordingly.
• Ensure that firm order has been received from Account Executive before finalizing placement with the market.
• Ensure that the insurer / WTW issued Policy Documents have been received, checked, and provided to Account Executive.
• Produce and ensure accuracy of Acceptance Slips / Policy Wordings, and Renewal Premium Comparison Schedules.
• Contribute to process improvements and effective utilization and improvement of systems.
• Ensure adherence to Group Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure Compliance with Local Procedures and External Compliance Regulations.
• Understand and discuss client’s requirements with the market, negotiate risks accordingly and obtain the best deal / quote, plus alternatives (risk covered and premium) from the market.
• Maintain good internal relationships with fellow colleagues and help to develop others by passing on skills and knowledge (technical, market and industry).
• Maintain and develop market/underwriting relationship through excellent verbal and written communication with the market at all stages of the process.
The Requirements
• University degree Economics, Business Administration, Political Sciences or Engineering, (Insurance focus can be a plus)
• Experience in Placement Broking
• Experience in mid-size and large account and experience with the market in Turkey
• A high standard of commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Enthusiastic team player with strong relationship building skills
• Presentation skills – confident and fluent delivery of key messages with excellent communication skills in Turkish
• A good analytical mindset, evidenced by previous fact-based decision making and excellent problem-solving skills
• Proven interpersonal skills, capable of dealing with domestic and international clients, business stakeholders and external bodies
• Excellent Computer skills
