**Job Title: Pipe Welder**
**Job Description**
Pipe welders will be working on new construction job sites throughout the Tampa area. They must have experience in commercial pipefitting and welding.
**Responsibilities**
+ Plan installation or repair of piping systems including cutting, threading, and bending.
+ Lay-out, assemble, install, maintain, and repair various types of pipe systems.
+ Mount hangers and brackets as required.
+ Install valves, couplings, and other fittings.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in stainless steel welding.
+ Proficiency in welding, pipe welding, and 6G pipefitting.
+ Ability to read blueprints.
+ Experience in brazing and pipe fitting.
+ Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience.
+ Soldering and brazing carbon steel pipe and copper.
+ Experience with sch. 40 steel pipe 2.5 inch to 8 inch.
+ 6G certification or ability to pass 6G weld test.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with blueprint reading.

**Work Environment**
Work will primarily be outside on a new construction job site, with conditions varying from hot in the summer to cold in the winter. The position is on a military base and involves heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. multiple times daily, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders and steps.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, Florida.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
