Job Title: Pipe Fitter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipe Fitter to join our welding and fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with specifications, blueprints, and industry standards. This role requires strong technical skills in pipefitting, welding, and fabrication, along with a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality workmanship. May require some travel but will get a per diem for travel.
Key Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings to determine pipe layout and assembly requirements.
Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools.
Install piping systems for various industrial and commercial applications, including gas, water, and structural systems.
Perform tack welding and assist welders in pipe fabrication and welding tasks.
Inspect piping systems for leaks, defects, or irregularities, and perform necessary repairs.
Operate and maintain pipe fitting and welding tools such as torches, threading machines, and grinders.
Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
Follow safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including measurements, materials used, and project progress.
Qualifications & Skills:Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in a welding and fabrication environment.
Strong knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, and fabrication techniques.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding symbols.
Proficiency in using cutting torches, threading machines, and pipe bending equipment.
Familiarity with various welding processes (TIG, MIG, Stick) is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy materials and working in tight spaces.
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA regulations.
Education & Certifications:High school diploma or GED required.
Technical or trade school certification in pipefitting, welding, or a related field is preferred.
OSHA safety certification is a plus.
