POSITION SUMMARY:
The PI Systems Analyst supports and develops the Aveva PI applications to enable safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the G&P assets. The role troubleshoots issues and fulfills improvement requests in the PI applications from Operations and other groups. It serves as the business liaison with the PI support/IT teams and interfaces with Operations, Measurement/I&E, Scheduling/Marketing, Engineering, and Business Development.
This position belongs to a family of jobs with increasing responsibility, competency, and skill level. The actual position title and pay grade will be based on the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
+ Create points, develop/modify PI Vision screens, and maintain the PI Asset Framework to support business needs.
+ Ability to coordinate and understand business needs and develop various reports and displays/dashboards.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues both within PI and with OT and business systems.
+ Provide training to new users and refresher training to existing users.
+ Correctly prioritize support issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
+ Internally develop or work with third party vendors to develop and deploy project solutions/support (e.g. upgrades, patches, configuration changes, etc.) per business requirements.
+ Apply corporate initiatives such as Digital Transformation technology for G&P assets.
+ Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
+ Successfully communicate with multiple levels within the organization and facilitate understanding of processes and issues from a business perspective.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
+ 5+ years of experience, preferably in the Midstream Oil and Gas industry.
+ Experience working with Aveva PI Asset Framework, PI Interfaces and Connectors, PI Vision, PI Datalink, and related applications
+ Familiarity with database stored procedures and coding
+ Basic computer programming knowledge with any object-oriented programming language.
+ Experience with any SCADA or DCS systems (DeltaV, Intouch, Archestra, iFix preferred).
+ Knowledge of communication driver applications such as Kepware.
+ Experience with resolving OPC and DCOM related issues.
+ Experience developing, documenting or debugging software interfaces and components.
+ Problem solving skills when working in a high-pace environment where priorities change quickly.
+ Knowledge and work experience throughout all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
+ Basic IT Infrastructure knowledge (e.g. Remote Desktop, Citrix, active directory, etc.) for implementation and troubleshooting of an enterprise application.
+ Experience coordinating system upgrades and enhancements across multiple environments (non-production and production).
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively manage stakeholder expectations and achieve buy-in.
+ The position will be filled at a salary grade commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and years of experience.
