Job SummaryThe Physician Recruiter Specialist is responsible for the identification/sourcing of potential physician candidates and practice transitions to fulfill the strategic and manpower plans of Corewell Health while also ensuring that all required steps in the recruitment process are satisfactorily completed. Works closely with administrators and physician chiefs/chairs to accomplish these responsibilities.
Essential FunctionsServes as primary contact for all recruitments in service lines of scope, coordinating appropriate steps with respective business managers, administrators or physician leaders to ensure all steps of the process are completed appropriately. Serves as the lead recruiter in physician leadership searches (ie. Chair/Chiefs, Medical Director, etc).Establishes relationships with physicians and gathers all necessary materials associated with due diligence for employment with Corewell Health.Prepares Letter of Intent and requests staff applications for physicians transitioning to employment.Coordinates data collection for compensation Fair Market Value assessments where appropriate.Discusses relocation policy with physicians (as required) and facilities processing of all necessary paperwork to reimburse physician.Serve as primary contact for physician practice transitions including tasks such as obtaining financial, operational and lease data, complete proforma questionnaire and facilitate overall proforma process through approval, initiating coding & documentation review and providing regular feedback to System Chairs, Business Managers and/or Administrators throughout the process.Coordinates all candidate sourcing, including journal ad placements, job boards, targeted outreach and email campaigns, attending job fairs and society meetings as appropriate, and forwarding on qualified candidate information to appropriate parties for review.Oversees coordination of interviews and site visits of candidates with respective departments.Maintains opportunities available for new graduates as well as established physicians looking for employment or brokering private practice opportunities.Coordinate with Corewell Health East Medical Group Physician Executives, Health System Chairs, Vice Presidents and respective Business Managers/Administrators to develop and implement comprehensive manpower plans and identify strategic growth opportunities to ensure driven recruitment efforts are completed appropriately. This includes market intelligence regarding private practices aligned with Corewell Health hospitals that may be at risk for employment by other Health Systems. Provides regular communication and updates on the plans and opportunities.Manages community assessment needs and recruitment agreements for all Corewell Health aligned private practices. Coordinates Professional Service Agreements.QualificationsRequired
