Essentia Health Duluth Children’s Hospital, a member of Essential Health, is the region’s largest provider of pediatric care. With many outpatient Pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists on staff and the region’s only PICU and NICU, we are able to care for the area’s most critically ill infants and children.

Level II Pediatric Trauma Center20-bed Level III NICU, with 4 Neonatologists and 5 APPs that cover deliveries in house5 bed PICU, 14 bed General Pediatric Unit5 of the NICU and Pediatric rooms are swing rooms that can accommodate either NICU or Pediatric patients250 patients/per year in the PICU plus observationsModerate/deep sedations ~average 65 per year13 bed Birthplace with 3 additional Midwifery suitesJoin 3 Pediatric Intensivists and 6 Pediatric Hospitalists in a shared pediatric hospitalist practiceDay/Night shifts and/or 24-hour shifts with equal weekendsNight shifts are in-house if needed1500 births/year at labor and delivery with NICU delivery coverage2 hospitals located on campus:Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center – 344-bed tertiary hospital and Essentia Health Duluth Miller Dwan - 165-bed specialized care facilityDepartment educational focus with medical students and family medicine residents

COMPENSATON

$359,353.  Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
