Departmental Overview From the high school athlete who tears an ACL to the retiree who needs a knee replacement, the Ortho Central Ambulatory Surgery Center is here for each and every one of our patients. Our expert team includes four orthopedic surgeons, a sports medicine physician, bone health experts, physical therapists, and workers’ compensation specialists. Our skilled providers can treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries including sports-related fractures, foot and ankle surgery, and hip, knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery. The Ambulatory Surgery Center is open Monday through Friday to meet our patient’s needs Job Summary Evaluates patient and obtains pertinent information for the diagnosis and treatment of the medical problem. Demonstrates proficiency in performing aspects of patient care, including medical management and serving as a "surgical assist" for the general surgeon(s) Documents applicable information and completes paperwork. Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff. Qualifications Education Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Experience Previous experience in healthcare field preferred (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) Certification / Licensure Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Compensation/Benefits $25.74-$42.03/hr depending on previous work experience.
