Position Summary / Career Interest:

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in Kansas City, Kansas is seeking a general psychiatrist. This position will provide clinical services in an ambulatory setting and provide supervision to psychiatry trainees. The role involves delivering direct services to patients in ambulatory settings, striving to provide exemplary care and support.

The position will supervise resident physicians, guiding them in clinical practice, didactic sessions, and individual psychotherapy to foster their professional growth. To contribute to the educational experience of psychiatry residents and students through comprehensive clinical practice and engaging didactic lectures. Additionally, be committed to supporting departmental clinical needs across ambulatory and outreach settings, ensuring responsiveness and excellence in patient care. Establish expertise in a specialized clinical or research area, contributing to the division's recognition and advancement. Engaging in clinical and administrative on-call duties, weekend availability, and continuous performance improvement are integral aspects of the commitment to excellence. Actively participate in Medical School and Department Committees, fulfilling additional responsibilities as delegated by the Department Chair to uphold our department's standards of care and education.

Required Qualifications:

M.D., D.O. or equivalent and ABPN board certification/board eligibility in General Psychiatry

Must hold a medical license (or be eligible for licensure) in the State of Kansas and Missouri
