As a Physician you are responsible for evaluation and treatment of both crew and guests!You will report to:Chief Physician (Shore side)Lead Physician (Shipboard) Responsibilities: How You Will Make a DifferenceUnder direction of Senior Physician:Supervise shore referrals and medical debarks of Crew Members in conjunction with Shoreside Medical ServicesMonitors Crew “unfit for duty.”Provide accurate communication with Medical Services shore personnel regarding Guest medical debarksConsults with Senior Physician for making the medical decision for medical disembarks.Maintain open lines of communications with the leaders of the other ship’s departments.Responsible for seeing to the accuracy and completeness of all reports (AGE, Unfit for Duty, Health Declarations for ports of call, etc.) prior to submittal.Follows ACEP Guidelines, pertinent sections of the Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) Manual and the Book of Privileges for Officers.Attend all drills scheduled by the Safety Officer as assigned.Provide training for Emergency Stretcher TeamParticipates in duties common to all onboard staff, such as lifeboat drills, responsibilities assigned by the Captain, or any other duty pertaining to Guest Safety.Accurate use of Controlled Substance handling and disposal.Assist with implementation of crew immunization programs. Basic Qualifications: What You Will Bring to the TeamActive medical license from STCW country.Medical degree from a recognized college or university from an STCW countryProvide a letter of good standing from the Medical Board/Council prior to joining a vessel3 Years recent medical experience in general and emergency medicine, trauma care or critical careBasic Life Support (BLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ALCS)Valid accredited BLS/PALS/ALS/ACLS certificates prior to embarkingDigital literacy, experience with MS Office programs and electronic health records Preferred Qualifications: How You Will Stand OutAdvanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)Experience using Sea Care Additional Information: This is a SHIPBOARD role:
