As our Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you'll assist the Physical Therapist in administering treatment from an established Physical Therapy plan of care to restore function following injury, disease or physical disability, and wellness for prevention of disability. You'll demonstrate the ability to apply clinical judgment for individualized treatment, and use of physical agent modalities as appropriate to maximize progress, improve functional ability of patients.

Responsibilities
Reviews practitioner referral, patient’s condition and medical records to determine appropriate treatment.Prepares and completes treatment program based on established plan of care. Monitors effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Records treatment, response, and progress in patient’s chart and/or enters information into the computer medical records. Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Assists in supervision of Physical Therapy Assistant students.Assists in developing, interpretation and application of the departmental policies and procedures.Coordinates Physical Therapy efforts with those of other departments and maintains open lines of communication and good working relations.Remains clinically proficient in routine work duties of the departmentResponsible for continual interaction and improvement of services within the department. Promotes staff development and staff satisfaction.
Qualifications
Physical Therapy Assistant Education/Accreditation.
Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in North Dakota (ND). Member of or eligible for membership in American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).Basic Life Support (BLS).
Current driver’s license.
Clinical knowledge base to carry out established Physical Therapy plan of care/treatment for patients.Preferred:
