Physical Therapist - Pelvic Health

Position Highlights:

SIGN-ON BONUS: $2,500

Location: 429 N. York Road, Elmhurst, IL

Full Time/Part Time: Part-Time, 20 hours weekly

Hours: Days with 2 evening shifts

Required Travel: None

What you will need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy (if graduated before 2002) OR Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (if graduated 2002 - 2014) OR Doctorate in Physical Therapy (if graduated 2015 and after).

Current State of Illinois Physical Therapist licensure

Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS provider

A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.

A minimum of 2 years experience with demonstration of clinical independence, preferred.

Required without License:

Notification from Continental Testing Services advising of receipt and approval of application for licensure (if first-time test taker).

“Authorization to Test” (ATT) letter from Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy

Confirmation of Computer-Based Exam

State of Illinois Physical Therapy license within 90 days of hire

Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS provider

Preferred:

Pelvic Health PT

Min. 1-3 years’ experience, preferred

Will consider training therapist with experience in general orthopedics and demonstrated strong interest in pelvic health

Support available for certification and development

Will consider full-time or part-time candidates

What you will do:

Provides direct physical therapy services to patients.  Demonstrates an appropriate level of clinical skill, as evidenced by the completion of comprehensive and insightful evaluations, and the development of individualized and effective treatment plans designed to achieve precise, functional goals.  Evaluates patient’s physical and functional status and plans and implements therapeutic programs that include prevention, identification, correction and alleviation of acute or prolonged movement dysfunction of an anatomic or physiologic origin. Uses excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care.  Stays updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of physical therapy.  Maintains a well-rounded knowledge base, and clinical reasoning skills to consistently achieve expected clinical outcomes.
