Physical Therapist-Part Time Duties of Physical Therapist: + Plan, develop, and implement treatment protocols to treat, improve or maintain consumer’s level of function or minimize risk. + Design and fabricates/oversees construction of seating, mobility, positioning, and other orthotic/assistive equipment Complete all required training + Review and analyze assessments, progress reports, monitoring data, incident reports, and medical consults to determine efficiency/impact on therapeutic services + Participate in quality assurance and quality enhancement activities related to therapeutic services at the facility and state level + Design, direct, and oversee competency-based training program for both consumers and staff + Participate in conference for diagnosis and treatment planning. Requirements for All Candidates + Current PT license in the State of Texas + Certifies that its license, permit or certificate has not been revoked by any Health and Human Services agency or public safety and criminal justice agency + Must be in good standing and must maintain that license while providing services at Terrell State Hospital. + Must be certified by the American Heart Association –BLS in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification while providing services at the Terrell State Hospital. + Copies of nursing license and CPR certifications must be kept on file with TSH’s Contracting office. + All certifications must be current and remain as such while providing services at the Terrell State Hospital + Knowledge or experience working with individuals with severe mental illness preferred. Current Open Shifts & Timeline for Hiring Position Physical Therapist No.# Needed 1-Part Time (24 Hours Per Week) Shift Availability 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Overtime Pay: Must be approved by Terrell State Hospital and agency must be notified regarding this directive prior to starting the overtime shift. Days Monday thru Friday (can be worked out) Term Minimum of 3 months with option to extend Please Note: The start date commences when all compliance and clearance requirements have been met by the selected candidate.
