Physical Security Specialist

The Physical Security Specialist team Lead will implement all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), requirements, as applicable, and exhibits the dedication and expectation of excellence required of a seasoned security professional while working and making decisions independently without direct supervision


Responsibilities

They will lead a team of 4 CPSO’s. ·       They will work as a team player, exhibits flexibility, sets priorities, and manages customer expectations in a sometimes fast-paced environment ·       The person will interact with internal and external customers or Government security officials in performance of security duties ·       Support the government customer with varying security standards and procedures, utilizing the NISPOM, ICDs, 5105.21 (M-1), DoDM 5205.07 and other applicable directives, policies and procedures set forth by the DoD and Intelligence Community ·       Maintain SCIF accreditations to appropriate Cognizant Security Agency (CSA) ·       Conduct security education and training (SETA) ·       Provide security indoctrination's, debriefings, pre/post travel briefings and annual refresher briefings as necessary. ·       Coordinate co-utilization agreements for facilities ·       Investigate security violations and submit required reports to the government ·       Responsible for facility access control support, intrusion detection, safes/locks, hardware, and doors ·       Maintains SCIF visitor control functions, entry/exit inspections and badging ·       Conduct SCIF self-inspections in preparation for security audits ·       Prepare written SOPs/EAP and update annually for DoD and IC customers ·       Ensure compliance of daily operations with security policies, standards, and measures necessary for meeting 32CFR-117 and the related USG security requirements to ensure the protection of classified information ·       Utilize SIMS for classified document and media accountability, conducts annual audits of all media ·       Perform Alarm tests with both the service provider and the guard service, documenting all concerns with the government and IC customers ·       Responds to alarms as needed ·       Assist the rest of the security team in day-to-day operations as required ·       Perform security classification reviews utilizing Security Classification Guide

* Must be U.S. citizen  Ten - fifteen(10-15) years or more years of relevant security experience working with DoD and IC security programs Active TS/SCI Ability to be granted special access Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment. Ability to effectively engage prospective customers, within both the DOD and Intelligence Community, to build trust and relationships, clearly communicate solutions and concepts, and influence action. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across the organization. Must be detailed-oriented and organized. Highly motivated and self-directed with a passion for solving complex problems. Must demonstrate effective time management and be able to work independently and make positive decision that enhance the program and relationship with the customers. Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner and meet deadlines. Previous security experience managing a classified program in support of the Intelligence Community. Must have the ability to carry out the duties expected of a Security Officer when faced with difficulty and coordinate with all levels of personnel/management. Requires independent judgement and discretion as well as the identification, analysis, and resolution of security related matters. Must be able to manage risk associated with security compliance and operational requirements. Must be able to interact effectively with diverse groups of people. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality with integrity. Experience in managing and maintain FCL and requirements association with facility accreditation; ICD 705/ICS 705 and respective. Be able to pick up additional duties as required; be an active member of the security team.
