The Photographer/Editor is responsible for shooting and editing all elements of stories used in Telemundo broadcasts utilizing the highest level of technical standards. Job Duties + Creatively visualizes stories told by Correspondents and Producers utilizing HD camera, creative lighting, expert sound, and on-air communications. + Utilizes cellular bonded transmission equipment (ex. LiveU) and is responsible for being able to run a live broadcast scenario. + Responsible for photographing and editing feature stories on a tight deadline. + Collaborates with Producers and Correspondents for series, special reports, breaking news, and/or long form content. + Assists Correspondents and Producers in the pre-production and post-production process. + Responsible for always maintaining equipment and resources in good working conditions as well as keep an updated inventory of equipment. + Responsible for operating a crew vehicle. + Creates pack list and a manifest of equipment being deployed domestically and internationally. + Responsible for operating a crew vehicle. + Maintains a good standard with all administrative tasks as it relates to travel, expenses, media file workflows, and telecommunication tools. + Responsible for delivering content utilizing defined media standards and transfer practices across all video and audio material. + Works under the direct supervision of the Manager, Field Operations and is responsible for completing other tasks as assigned. Basic Requirements: + Minimum 5 years of experience working as Photographer/Camera Operator in the field + Minimum 2 years of experience as an Editor + Proven experience managing and/or assisting live transmissions via bonded cellular (ex LiveU), satellite trucks or local microwave + Prior experience and thorough understanding on how to send stories via file transfer (ex latakoo, media shuttle) and via bonded cellular technology + Proven proficiency using Avid 6.0 Media composer and Mac operating system + Proven proficiency using Sony HD series professional broadcast cameras including FX9 and FX3 + Proven experience and proficiency in managing on air lighting and shot composition + Basic understanding of audio and on-air communication principles (ex In-ear, microphone placement, Etc.) + Basic understanding of broadcast signal flow. + Must be fully fluent in English and Spanish (both written and verbal) + Proficient in Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Yammer, Stream, and Teams) and other related tools. + Must be able to perform job at various locations interior and outside work environment with varying weather conditions.
