SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Oversee and supervise a group of children in the Summer Day Camp Recreation Program while maintaining health and safety standards.

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead structured and unstructured activities for children participating in the Summer Day Camp ProgramSupervise a group of 8-12 children during the day to coordinate recreation activities that encourage teamwork and character building opportunitiesMaintain health and safety of children according to camp manual at all timesReport any problems and concerns to the Program Director as neededReport and discipline concerns to the Program Director as neededAttend all staff meetings and training sessions as scheduledEncourage each child to participate in constructive recreation and leisure activitiesAssist children to develop an awareness of the Canandaigua community and leisure options in the communityOther duties as assigned by the Program Director
