Phlebotomist LTA II – Clinical Pathology / Phlebotomy (Per Diem)

We are seeking a Phlebotomist LTA II (Per Diem) to join our team within our clinical laboratory in Orange County/Irvine at Lennar Foundation Cancer Center! In this role, you will draw blood from COH patients and donors using appropriate procedures, guidelines and standards as well as processes specimens for in-house / send-out laboratory testing. Working under the direction of Phlebotomy Supervisor, you will provide high-level support and assistance with a variety of tasks within the laboratory, including but not limited: new staff mentoring, specimen / workflow problem issue resolution, special request draws, supply ordering and procedure development. As a successful candidate, you will:

Draw blood in accordance with physician order using appropriate techniques and equipment.Greet patients, process the laboratory orders, and direct patients to their next station.Collect and deliver specimens for analysis, using appropriate or specified equipment for collecting and handling specimens.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

High School or equivalent (GED)Three to five years of experience as a competent phlebotomistCalifornia Phlebotomy Technician license requiredCPR (through the American Heart Association)Hourly Per Diem Rate: $34.3308 / hr
