Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Phlebotomist is specimen collection, including drug screens, blood samples, and processing samples. The role involves utilizing lab technology systems, data entry, and entry of test orders from requisitions. Additional tasks include patient registration, labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing specimens, stocking supplies, and answering phones when needed. Verification of patient demographic information and initials is also required.

The Phlebotomist will work as a single practitioner at a very busy office, operating from 8am-5pm. Breaks and lunches are scheduled by team leads. The office is extremely busy and demanding, with a need for thick skin and the ability to handle 40-50 patients per day, with Mondays being the busiest. The role requires proficiency in using straight needles over butterfly needles. The team lead is very interactive and will check in regularly. The office handles primary care and takes walk-ins for CO-VID, flu, and strep tests. Holiday work is compensated with additional hours.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
