Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist/Lab Aide for a large medical group. This role involves drawing blood and performing lab aide duties in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Candidates with extern experience are welcome to apply. Strong customer service skills and computer proficiency are essential for this position.

ResponsibilitiesDraw blood from patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.Pick up STAT specimens.Run samples after initial blood draws.Work flexible hours between 7am and 7:30pm, with on-call duties 2-3 days per week.Float and split shifts as needed.Provide excellent customer service to uphold the organization's values.Essential SkillsValid CPT CA license.BLS certification.Proficiency in computer systems, including lab systems such as Cerner.Experience with neonatal to geriatric blood draws.Flexibility in scheduling and ability to travel to various locations.Additional Skills & QualificationsExtern experience is acceptable.Six months or more experience in an acute or sub-acute setting preferred.Experience with pediatrics and neonatal blood draws.Ability to draw 45-55 patients within an 8-hour shift in an outpatient setting.Ability to draw 20-30 patients within an 8-hour shift in an inpatient setting.Excellent attendance and behavior record.Hospital experience is a plus.Work Environment

This role will involve working in medical centers (inpatient settings) and medical office buildings (outpatient settings). The schedule is flexible, and shifts will be sent out monthly. Applicants must be willing to travel within the region to various locations to pick up additional hours. Coverage for shifts is typically between 7am-3:30pm and 11am-7pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
