Job Title: Phlebotomist Job Description A local hospital is seeking to build out a phlebotomy team that works as an extension of the nursing team. The position involves various medical and patient care tasks, ensuring high-quality service and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities + Perform phlebotomy procedures + Ambulate patients and monitor their walking + Conduct EKGs + Answer call lights + Check vital signs as needed + Stock supply closets during down time Schedule + Thursday - Saturday (3-12s) 7P-7:30A Essential Skills + Phlebotomy experience verified with reference + Customer service skills + Medical assistant work experience + Blood draw proficiency Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus Work Environment The work environment involves lab and office settings in a leading hospital in West Knoxville, known for its specialization in elective procedures and exceptional service. The hospital is often referred to as the 'country club' of hospitals in the area. This is a long-term contract position, working as a service partner to the hospital administration. The position offers 40 hours of PTO in the first 9 months and 60 hours of PTO every 6 months thereafter. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
