PhD on joint communication and sensing for aeronautical applications (d/f/m)Are you looking for a PhD Thesis position and want to get to know the work of a Scientist at Airbus Central Research and Technology? You will become part of a research team whose work focuses on the development of wireless communication and sensing systems and their potential applications in the field of aviation. Your impact will be advanced research and development of novel signal processing and data fusion algorithms for aeronautical joint communication and sensing applications.

Your tasks and responsibilitiesUnderstanding existing and defining novel use cases for joint communication and sensing technology in aviation
Research in related signal processing and data fusion methodologies
Leveraging existing as well as defining new signal processing algorithms supporting the use cases
Working on state of the art radio frontends suitable for joint communication and sensing
Performing hands-on implementations and conceptual work equally
Desired skills and qualificationsYou have a master degree in computer science or electrical engineering
Profound experiences in the field radio communications or sensing
Good mathematical skills to analyze and understand complex algorithms
Advanced skills on Python, C and Matlab
Knowledge on the Xilinx Design Methodology and experiences with Verilog/VHDL are a plus
You like working in an agile and dynamic environment, with a high degree of self-motivation
