Knowledge of pharmacy dispensing systems including unit dose, IV admixture, and outpatient prescription processing required. Knowledge of basic differences in drug therapy in different patient age groups from neonates to geriatric patients required. Knowledge of systems of measurement (e.g. metric system) and ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and conversions within and between systems of measurement required. Knowledge about aseptic technique in the compounding of IV admixtures if required in practice location required. Knowledge of drug nomenclature including brand and generic names required. Knowledge of pharmacy law and activities allowed and not allowed by law required. Knowledge and experience in the use of a computer and keyboard required. Experience with Windows programs, use of e-mail and use of the internet preferred.

EDUCATION: High school diploma, HiSET or GED equivalent required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Certified pharmacy technician or a provisional certified pharmacy technician license required, and must be in good standing in the State of Montana.
