Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Screening and preparing provider medication orders.
+ Recording data and maintaining accurate patient profiles.
+ Preparing and dispensing medications.
+ Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills.
+ Maintaining drug inventory.
+ Support medical records, front desk, immunizations, medical clinic and other relevant staff.
+ Ability to understand, communicate, and follow oral and written instructions.
+ Embrace change with the role of a pharmacy technician in both the pharmaceutical industry and Student Health.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nine-month Pharmacy Technician program; or high school diploma or equivalency and one year of pharmacy-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a nine-month Pharmacy Technician program or graduation from high school and two years of pharmacy-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Must be at least 18 years of age. High school graduate or GED required. Must be licensed by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Required certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT). Prior Retail Pharmacy Technician experience is required.
