Full Time- Entry Level Pharmacy Technician

A large healthcare provider in downtown Los Angeles is looking for a pharmacy tech to join their growing team! California Pharmacy Tech License (CPhT) is required. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and gain extensive back office experience! ENTRY-LEVEL CANDIDATES ARE WELCOME TO APPLY!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Monday - Friday with rotating weekends, 9am - 5:30pmExperience with authorizing insurance.Safety net pharmacy that allows patients access to medication.Filling and keeping the production going.Serves the underserved and underinsured community. You will rotate twice per day between the front and the back.Everyone is cross trained.They want new grads so they can train accordingly!EMR system used is called \"cover my meds.\"Accurately and promptly input patient demographics, including allergies and insurance coverage.Assures that document and prescriptions are correctly scanned into a patient’s profile that corresponds to that patient.Follows the prescriber’s order or pharmacist’s discretion and reads, interprets and proficiently processes prescriptions using the pharmacy prescription processing software.Enters correct drug, strength, dosage form, quantity, refills, sig text, and provider information into pharmacy prescription processing software.Verifies and reviews patient profiles at each fill and new prescriptions for accuracy.Inventory maintenance.Reviews designated stock section for outdated/expired stock every month and logs/initials completion in the logbook.

This is a fully on-site position in downtown Los Angeles.
