Pharmacy Technician

Summary: Seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist with medication preparation under pharmacist supervision, perform quality control, and manage inventory.

Job Requirements:

Registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of operation

Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds occasionally

Preferred Skills:

Previous Pharmacy Technician experience

CPhT Certification

Proficient in basic math and calculator use

Competent with computer software and keyboard interaction

Detail-oriented with strong retention skills

Ability to interpret regulations and laws into instructions

Professional verbal communication skills

Effective team player participation

Understanding of compounding principles, theories, laws, policies, and procedures

Familiarity with mail order pharmacy operations

Job Responsibilities:

Assist licensed pharmacists with medication preparation while maintaining quality control standards

Transcribe veterinarian orders onto pharmacy computer medication profiles under direct supervision

Compound medications following pharmacy practice standards under pharmacist oversight

Dispense prescriptions post-pharmacist approval adhering to pharmacy law and practice standards

Routinely check and remove outdated medications from stock

Maintain appropriate records

Pay Details: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
