Responsibilities

Perform activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services for multiple markets in a virtual setting by supporting scheduling pharmacotherapy appointments, requesting and managing referrals, navigating patient charts in EHR, and reviewing prescription claims as a pharmacy technician.

 

Provide support to pharmacists and healthcare providers in a clinical setting.

Effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members.Gather necessary demographic, insurance and clinical information from patient and enters into appropriate database.Coordinate and communicate schedules.Utilize EHR systems, telehealth platforms and collaboration tools.Serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing necessary information.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

One or more of the following required:
Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed. Must possess all state and local qualifications.Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must possess all state and local qualifications. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences Preferred Pharmacy Technician License: Michigan, Texas, Florida or Indiana. Experience supporting specialty pharmacy services.Experience supporting clinic based pharmacists.340B knowledgeStrong technology skills with ability to navigate multiple systems in a remote environment.Proficiency in Google Workspace.Excellent verbal and written communication.
