About this position

To provide educational and training experiences for pharmacists in the fundamentals of pharmacy practice in a community hospital. The purpose of PGY1 pharmacy residency programs is to build on the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions. Our residency program aims to develop graduate pharmacists into independent pharmaceutical care practitioners in acute care settings, potential educators or adjunct faculty, and/or ready for further training in PGY2 residency or fellowship programs.

 

Requirements

Education

• The applicant must be have graduated or be a candidate for graduation from an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).
• Licensed or be eligible for licensure in MN
   

Experience

Experience:
• A relevant pharmacy experience history is preferred
• North Memorial Residency Program adheres to the Rules for the ASHP Pharmacy Resident Matching Program

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Computer and keyboard skills
• Excellent problem solving & communication skills (verbal & written)
• Adaptable to changing priorities, tasks, and work schedules to meet customer needs

Salary Range: N10 ($19.07 - $27.44), based on experience  

Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
