Job Description:
The PGY1 pharmacy residency program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions and gain eligibilities for board certification, and postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
The 54-week program adheres to the rules set forth by the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists. The resident will serve in all pharmacy functions within the institution and participate in patient care across a variety of practice settings.
Requirements
US citizenship/permanent US resident
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education
Comply with all pre-employment requirements at Baptist Health Hardin, including but not limited to drug screen, background check, and immunizations.
Required to obtain a Kentucky Pharmacist Intern License pre-employment.
Kentucky Pharmacist Licensure must be obtained within the first 90 days. (Failure to obtain Kentucky Pharmacist Licensure by the end of the pharmacy practice orientation rotation will result in restructuring of the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency experience.)
