Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking Pharmacy Information Systems (IS) Coordinator to join their team and be an IT Resource for the pharmacy.

This is a full-time Monday-Friday 7am -4:30pm with On call position.

Job Responsibilities:

Identifies and responds to end-user requests and requirements for system modifications and issues. Ensures that installations and upgrades are performed with minimal disruption to end-users and all stakeholders are communicated with plans and progress. Audits databases to ensure accuracy and initiates action to resolve variances. Coordinates the assignment of user passwords and monitors/audits security measures for compliance. Reacts quickly to equipment failures while tracking and documenting issues and resolutions. Coordinates training for modifications and upgrades including developing appropriate training tools and assesses staff competencies related to Pharmacy IS.

Qualifications:

 Experience:

Three (3) years Pharmacy Technician experience. Omnicell and Epic experience preferred.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in related field (IT preferred) or 4 years’ experience in lieu of degree.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

License:

Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license.
