Pharmacy Carrier Relations Director
About the role: The Pharmacy Carrier Relations Director role will be responsible for forging and fostering collaborative relationships with pharmacy partners (PBMs, carved-in pharmacy solutions, specialty pharmacies, etc) on behalf of our mutual employer clients, ensuring all pharmacy needs across Included Health are well coordinated, will serve an integral role informing strategy in the pharmacy space and deploying innovative new products in partnership with product teams. This role requires a forward-thinking strategic mindset and strong diplomacy skills to build long-term relationships with external partners to enable and support enterprise sales in conjunction to expanding Included Health’s offerings into the pharmacy space. Responsibilities:Owning relationship management with key external partners in support of mutual employer clients with a specific focus on pharmacy benefits managers Ongoing understanding of dynamic pharmacy benefits landscape, including PBM growth strategy, business performance, go-forward business strategy to inform future Included Health strategyStrong collaboration with the product teams to deploy innovative new products in the market as we expand our offerings into the pharmacy space including product design, client facing sales support and future roadmapImplementing scalable business processes, developing communications and ensuring internal Included Health carrier-related needs are coordinated and strategically alignedIdentify trends and assist in the development of mitigation strategies, where appropriate, in partnership with the Carrier Relations and broader Strategic Partnership and Insights teamServe as a subject matter expert internally including but not limited to: General Management and Product functions as we build out our pharmacy navigation capabilities Client Success and Sales on current relationship dynamics between Included Health and client/ prospect’s carriers Proposal Team on consistent messaging in RFPsSolutions Engineering on data feeds and future enhancements needs Client Launch Team on data feeds, current integrations and diplomacy efforts with PBM partners Supporting specific strategic client launches with critical pharmacy dynamicsPartnership with marketing and other functions on pharmacy intelligence and carrier trendsRequirements: 12+ years of relationship management, operations or strategic planning expertise, with direct experience working within the pharmacy benefits management spaceActive relationships with commercial PBMs and carriers / health plans is preferred Strategic planning and critical thinking skills, program management expertise, deep expertise in the PBM spaceStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information and messages to a broad and diverse audienceStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environmentExperience using data to provide practical business insights through presentations and reporting and drive decision making through presentations and reportingExperience resolving and communicating about issues with both data driven and non-data driven audiencesExperience in a high growth, fast changing environmentAbility to travel as needed to build external relationships with key stakeholdersBachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferredPhysical/Cognitive Requirements:Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.Ability to work shifts of at least 8 hours, 40 days per week.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment.Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required.Ability to interact with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
Zone A: $149,450 - $211,100 + equity + benefits  Zone B: $171,868 - $242,765 + equity + benefits  Zone C: $186,813 - $263,875 + equity + benefits  Zone D: $194,285 - $274,430 + equity + benefits  
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for candidates based on their respective Zone. Below is additional information on Included Health's commitment to maintaining transparent and equitable compensation practices across our distinct geographic zones.
Starting base salary for the successful candidate will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include, but not limited to, education; training; skill set; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; business needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and alignment with geographic and market data. Compensation structures and ranges are tailored to each zone's unique market conditions to ensure that all employees receive fair and competitive compensation based on their roles and locations. In addition to earning a base salary, this role is eligible for a performance-based bonus. Details of the Annual Bonus Plan, including performance metrics, target incentives, and potential earnings, will be discussed during the interview process.
