Gundersen Health System is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Automation Specialist to provide user support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring proper function of Pyxis devices throughout the Gundersen region.

This position is based on our main campus in La Crosse, WI.

What you’ll do:Full-time, 40 hours/week8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4pm *occasional evening and weekend hours for projects and hardware maintenance as required* On-call: Rotated weekly call shared between 3 teammates to cover evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends (1 hour response time required) Partners with Pharmacy IS team to coordinate the installation/expansion of systems with appropriate departments. Occasional travel to all clinic and hospital sites within the Gundersen region for installation, maintenance, and resolving pyxis performance issues

What you’ll need:High school diploma or equivalencyCompletion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program or at least one year of pharmacy technician experienceAt least 2-years of healthcare experience (Inpatient Pharmacy experience preferred)Registered Pharmacy Technician in the states of Wisconsin & Registered Pharmacy Technician in the states of Iowa and Minnesota within 3 months of hireNationally certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)Ability to develop, maintain and analyze detailed spreadsheets and reportsStrong problem-solving skillsPrior experience with Pyxis or pharmacy automation is strongly desired Candidates are strongly encouraged to submit a resume and cover letter.
