 Job Summary

Provides safe and effective patient care by performing inpatient pharmacy services for patients of all ages. Job assignments will be made based on the knowledge, skills, and abilities of individual employees as well as the current workload. Accurately prepares and dispenses medication in accordance to national regulations. Performs medication review during patients’ admission, hospitalization, and discharge. Adjusts medication dosages utilizing therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmacokinetic principles. Monitors and adjusts anticoagulation therapy based on patient specific factors.

Education and/or Experience

Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree preferred. Completion of ASHP Accredited PGY1 (and PGY2 for some areas) Pharmacy Residency preferred.

Certification/Licensure/Registrations

Registered Pharmacist in the state of South Dakota required within 30 days of hire. Board Certified by Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties preferred (Refer to staff development plan for specific requirements)
